There's no other possible explanation...
I'm just outrageously Vanessa!
Hi! My name is Vanessa J. Thompson. I graduated with a BFA in illustration from Winthrop University, in Rock Hill, SC, USA. I currently live in Columbia, SC with my husband and baby-to-be (due 3/8/21)!
I am a caricature artist, who works on commissioned pieces and entertains at live events (birthday parties, wedding receptions, expos, etc.).
I am also a children's book illustrator, working mainly with self-published authors at the moment, hoping to branch into the world of traditional publishing soon.
I enjoy watching LOTS of anime and animated Disney movies; singing (mostly off-key); and wearing crazy costumes and colorful, vivacious wigs! I probably have enough to open my own small town costume shop!! I've even dabbled in some face-painting here and there...
(see Grenchessa Bah Humbug Grump).
Other than being known for rocking purple hair, my Grenchessa Grump costume is pretty famous around these parts! She brightens up people's days during the Christmas season in Columbia, SC, unlike her super- duper-extremely-distant-a-bajillion-times-removed relative... I am sure you can guess who! Hint: He's a Mean One.
As my personal motto goes:
"There's no other possible explanation...
I'm just outrageously Vanessa!"
